My house is gone. Burned to the ground. I left to get groceries and when I got back...it was too late to save anything. I don't think anyone called the fire department, they were only alerted when the fire alarms went off. That bastard he did this didn't he? But why? Isn't it easier to get someone when they're staying in place? This doesn't make sense, why did he do this?!
...I'm currently staying with my ex-husband's parents. As soon as I called them from the station, they drove over to pick me up. I cried like a baby when I saw them- things have just been so stressful and the house was the last straw. They told me I could stay as long as I needed. I think I'm going to be here for a little bit. Right now I feel very numb, like I'm in shock.
The only good thing that came out of this is the fact that my laptop survived. I had gotten in the habit of carrying it around with me everywhere, or at least leaving it in my car. The notebook did not make it out. I had left it in a drawer in my living room and everything inside the house was burned to a crisp. At least I uploaded those pictures so I have something to show for all of this.
I'm...going to go sleep for a bit. I feel exhausted. The parents still haven't woken up yet- turns out they're late sleepers.

I don't know how long it will be safe to stay with them Cathy. Slender man tends to target those around us as a means of braking us. Also I don't mean to open old wounds, but what happened to your ex-husband?

Hey everyone, thank you for all the comments. I ended up napping all day...I guess it's because I'm so stressed and haven't really had a good night's sleep in a while. It was nice in a way. But let me try and answer questions to calm some of you down.
ReplyDeleteKaiju- Thank you, it really does mean so much to me that people are working together to try and help. I feel like eventually I'm going to have to face this on my own, but having support makes me think that maybe I can handle the situation.
Liam- I guessed as much. I had read some cases where he was associated with fires, but I would have never seen this coming.
I hate to say it, but I can't see anything you just tried to copy and paste. There's this...blank space between Date Posted and 9:00 AM.
Don't worry about me too much. I'm a grown woman, I can handle myself. This is...very overwhelming but right now I'm dealing with it.

It's fine, someone else probably would want to know too. My husband...quite literally walked out on me when Cynthia was born. He told me he had been with another woman for a couple months now and I haven't heard from him since. Honestly I don't care- he was a bad choice on my part.

Kaiju- Robert Sage? Isn't he the man who lost his memory...the one who gave the titles? I'll have to go thank him...

Robert's a good man. He was one of the first to fight the Slender Man and actually hurt him.
